Reversal/Sweep from the guard
Reversal/Sweep from the guard
Step One:
Start from a closed guard to slow your opponents' attack.
Step Two:
Maintain good head and wrist control as you open the guard.
Step Three:
Create space with your hips and feed knee across opponents' abdomen. Hook outside of opponents' far leg with your other foot.
Step Four:
Pull the opponents wrist and head as you extend the leg across his abdomen. This creates rotational torque.
Step Five:
As the opponent goes over, maintain head control and begin to post with your other arm to prevent being re-rolled.
Step Six:
Finish in mounted position with a wide base and posts.
